An unusual trip to the secrets of the Saviour archives

You will have a wonderful trip to the Holy of Holies of the former Saviour Monastery – the archives (collection of old icons, copper and silver crosses, different items of the antiquity, coins and others). Manuscripts and finds that are kept here for centuries are hidden from curious eyes; and their guests will be able to touch ancient secrets! You will know about the secret of the ancient manuscript «The Lay of Igor's Campaign» that was found by count Aleksei Musin-Pushkin. You will see an unusual show, during which you will meet ghosts of the poem characters that courageously confront foes, they hope and believe. The whole play is accompanied by sounds of the other world and with the spirit of that time – the time of the grand war tragedy and the time of great love between Prince Igor and Yaroslavna (his wife).
You will familiarize yourself with the history of how the manuscript was found, play the role of a scribe in the book craft, walk along the scriptorium corridors – scriptorium is a workshop of writing, where in ancient times books were reprinted for churches and society nobles. And by the end of the excursion the guest can taste honey wine from the monastery supply!
